Ultraviolet light is used widely in industry as a disinfectant, keeping food and liquids germ-free during processing and packaging. It's also used in aircraft ventilation systems to prevent infection. Ultravation® UV air disinfection equipment "floods" one or more areas of an HVAC system with UV light. As air circulates through the system, it is disinfected from the exposure to UV. This process rapidly and dramatically reduces airborne bacteria, viruses and allergens.
